ABSTRACT.
Born from a moderate family in the city of Baltimore, most of his family members are big into arts. Since Baltimore's Museum of Art is only 15 minutes drive from their simple and quaint house, Eli's family dreams of submitting their art to the museum, in hopes of securing fame and better wealth for the family into the future. Eli's father is a fan of Edgar Allan Poe, having to work as a writer who starts off with small stories at a publisher. Eli's mother is a painter, she loves to express herself through the canvas and the strokes of her brush, speaking her language in colors.Imagine the family's shock when Eli decided that he wants to pursue medicine instead. Eli himself already knows that he's not particularly good in arts and literature ever since he's a child, but he expresses interest in science and STEM field instead. Especially molecular biology, where he always got remarkable scores in the said subject. He even determined to enter Johns Hopkins University as a student, studying and gaining more knowledge there.At first, his family refused as they wanted Eli to pursue art instead. But due to the school's letter of recommendation as well as few sessions of counseling his family finally accepted that Eli would be pursuing medicine instead.
